    SPRING 2022

    A Letter From Pastor Windy

Well, it is officially Spring! I cannot believe once again how time seems to just be flying by since our last Newsletter. God as always has been on the move. We have had two of our folks that we know of give their lives to Christ! Hallelujah!

We had several weeks this winter that had increasingly frigid temperatures that did not allow us to have service for approximately four weeks, but we continued to show the hope of Jesus through His provision of food, clothing, hand warmers, hats, gloves, etc.

Pastor Rick, myself, and Dan McGuire have been meeting with Pastor Elijah and the folks at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church on Meredith Dr. in Fairfax, Va about using their fellowship hall for our services. We got the word on March 24th that the council voted in favor of us sharing their facility. Praise the Lord! We are still working out the logistics of time, day, etc. but we are incredibly excited to see how God is going to work in and through this new partnership!

We are hoping to do a combined service with their church Easter Sunday where they will introduce us to their congregation. CELC also has a Korean Church sharing their building as well. I love the heart of Pastor Elijah who stated “This is not a landlord/tenant relationship. We are sharing space in God’s house.” Wow! Please continue to pray as we work through the logistics of everything and again starting to provide transportation on a minimum basis.

I was able to travel to Clearview Wesleyan Church in Martinsville, VA and share about what God continues to do in and through New Hope Fellowship. They were amazing servants of our Lord and provided us not only with clothes, blankets, and shoes, but held a yard sale during their month of missions that they split the proceeds of that entire month and yard sale monies with us and the Pregnancy Center. What a blessing!

March has been an extremely busy month. I traveled to Williamsburg, Va the first week of March for the Discover the Joy Women’s Conference which was a tremendous blessing in so many ways. We had four ladies come from Fairfax Community Church and other denominations that partner with us. They were truly blessed through worship, breakout sessions, and fellowship with a diverse group of individuals from all over the Shenandoah District! Becky Reynolds and her team truly out did themselves in organizing this event!

The following week I headed to Grapevine, Tx to the Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy Conference. Oh, my what a blessing! I met amazing women of God who poured into us such wisdom and knowledge throughout those short few days. I met fellow sisters in Christ from Oregon, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Maryland, and 3 of our women clergy from the Shenandoah District.

The weekend after that Pastor Luis Martinez and his wife Dinora came and preached and shared about Impacto Ministry in Guatemala! What a HUGE blessing these two individuals are! Our folks really loved them. They were able to see that even with very little God’s provision is always enough, His love never fails, and that there is hope through Jesus Christ. Amen!!!

A HUGE thank you to Pastor Rick for keeping things running like a well-oiled machine while I was travelling. Words cannot begin to express how amazing he is and how much of a blessing he is to me, to New Hope Fellowship, and to God’s kingdom work. He along with folks from our leadership team, and our volunteers made traveling much easier because I knew that had everything under control.

Pastor Rick, myself, and Dan McGuire have been meeting with Pastor Elijah and the folks at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church on Meredith Dr. in Fairfax, Va about possibly using their fellowship hall for our services.
